My college girlfriends and I go to the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland near Solomons Island every year. It is a great trip, and we eat lots of fresh Blue Crabs. I painted this background and it made me think of tidal pools on the beach. It was October, when we typically go to the Bay, and so the Blue Crab seemed the perfect thing to paint on this background. This painting is on a stretched canvas that is 24" wide and 18" tall and is framed.

These horses belong to my in-laws' neighbor in Big Sky, Montana. My husband and I parked to take pictures of the horses. My hope was that they would come closer to the fence, but they just didn't seem to be curious enough. Their owner stopped and said that normally they would be curious of any car parked there, and would come to the fence assuming we were there to feed them. Oh, well - I will try again the next time we visit in the summer.

My group of college girlfriends is affectionately referred to as the "Gaggle" because when we get together, we are "as loud as a gaggle of geese" - I think most girls can relate to that.

Wine Cork Charm Necklaces on Etsy.com

These are a couple of my vintage-style necklaces, each one featuring one of my hand-painted wine cork charms, using recycled corks from wine bottles. Because it is made out of cork, the charms are very light for such a large size. The wine cork charms feature a painting of either 3 sunflowers or a dragonfly and are wrapped in vintage patina brass filigree.

The wine cork charms hang on a 24" long (approximately) vintage patina brass chain with hook clasp that can be hooked anywhere on the chain to adjust the length. Hanging alongside each wine cork charm is an old key and some other "trinket", typically a portion of an old piece of jewelry. The wine cork charm hangs down an additional 2.5 inches (approximately). I can shorten the chain length for you upon request.
